Datasheet 0006 - TROPOS Process and Materials Planning
Gives a high level of control over production activity.
Ensures that the correct materials are in the right
place at the right time to support the production plan.
Enables the communication of production changes in a
timely manner to prevent costly mistakes and rework.

The TROPOS Process and Materials Planning module allows
you to manage the production activity by creating production orders and
schedules to control the manufacture of finished products, co-products,
by-products and waste from input raw materials. It provides the basis
on which the TROPOS Production Monitoring module monitors costs, yields,
quality and timeliness of production activities.
Production orders and schedules are created by production
line for batch, continuous and semi-continuous processes. Material requirements
are automatically highlighted in the form of order-based kitting lists
for batch manufacture or via lineside stores-based material call-off schedules
to support flowline manufacturing on a user-defined time frequency (day,
shift, hour, minute).
Materials can be allocated to a line, schedule, contract
or individual order to ensure that shortages are highlighted at the earliest
possible moment. Where shortages are identified, the material call-off
schedule highlights existing purchase orders which need to be progressed
to clear the shortage. When goods are received, shortages are automatically
cleared on a priority basis.
TROPOS Materials Planning reviews the current material
situation (stock, production, and purchase orders) and suggests actions
to be taken to satisfy this demand, such as creating new or amending existing
purchase and production schedules.
Completions can be recorded by process stage as good,
reject or awaiting approval with any yield variances being highlighted
during the production process. Full traceability of all lot-controlled
items is automatically maintained.
Comprehensive documentation is produced which can be tailored
to meet individual requirements using the TROPOS White Paper printing
toolkit. Process sheets, raw material requisitions, material call-off
schedules, shortage notes, lot tickets, deliver to stores notes and quality
test sheets are among some of the standard documentation provided.
